0.1.1 - First Update and Roadmap


Hello!

We are proudly releasing our first DevLog of OMAS. May it be the first of many to come!

We did a hotfix of some bugs and added some quality-of-life improvements.

Hotfixes

  • Fixed number of bosses spawning on the boss level
  • Fixed quantity of roars made by monsters
  • Fixed log of actions stopping updating after a quantity of text
  • Fixed player healing too fast
  • Fixed player being able to walk trhough enemies

Quality of Life Improvements

  • Better explanation of movement on the Help screen
  • Have levels to be smaller, so the player won't get so lost
  • Make the first run of a player never have "self" as the only target for spells
  • Added the general state of enemy health to the description of the attack on the log of actions
  • Added a PopUp at the start of each level, with a random tip. There are 10 random tips right now, but more will be added with time.
  • Added a PopUp at the start of the Boss Level, so it is more clear to the player that this is the boss level.

Now, this is just a small update, but one that we are doing as we plan bigger things down the line. We'll continue developing OMAS for a long time, adding content, and more magic schools, and more ways to interact with the world around.

On the near-future we will change the visuals to a isometric  view, adding more details to the world and more contrast. Also, we plan to add some Survival elements to the game, making the world more interesting to explore around. Add NPCs, crafting, and skills, and also a perception system to notice monsters that are outside the field of view. And lore. Lots of lore to make the world more alive.

This all will take time, but we'll be updating y'all through DevLogs as things progress.
